The Side Door Coffee House, located in the West Island area of Montreal (Pierrefonds, Quebec) is a non-profit venue that presents a monthly evening of live entertainment. Popular with musicians from all over Canada and the Northeastern United States, the Side Door usually hosts three or four acts per evening in a variety of genres including folk, jazz, blues, country, bluegrass, Celtic, classical and spoken word. Note: The SDCH folded in 2019.
The Tilted Steeple Coffee House, held monthly at Allan Hall in Morrisburg, Ontario, presents a variety of local musical talent in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Organized in partnership with St. James Anglican Church, with the help of a great team of volunteers, the coffee house gives both aspiring and experienced musicians an opportunity to perform in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Proceeds from the event are donated to the local food bank and other community outreach projects.
